 Well, what would Grey’s Anatomy be without Ellen Pompeo’s character Dr. Meredith Grey? In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pompeo, who’s contract is only through season 16, hinted that 2020 may be her last year on the medical drama. “I’m feeling like we’re coming to the end of the stories that we’ve told and that we can tell,” she said. “I’m really excited to do some new things, it’s about time that I mix it up and I’m really excited about my producing career, and I’m definitely looking for a change.” In 2017, show creator Shonda Rhimes told E! News, “Ellen and I have a pact that I’m going to do the show as long as she’s going to do the show. So the show will exist as long as both of us want to do it. If she wants to stop, we’re stopping. So I don’t know if we’ll see 600, but I want to keep it feeling fresh.”
 

Ultimate final

Grey's Anatomy might come to an end after season 16 according to popular beliefs. But haven't we all ventured on the thoughts of an epic series finale? What could it be? Which chracters would be present?
A new theory suggests that the finale could be all about Meredith waking up from an induced coma and realizing all her friends and family are still alive and her dreams about them dying was just her body's way of repairing itself. Sound interesting? I think so!
I on the other hand believe it should bring back all its characters, dead or gone and have them all wear fancy clothes and sing and dance with their loved ones! Sorta like a musical like song beneath the song! And Callie should throw down some epic tunes!

Benefit

The Songs Beneath the Show is a benefit concert that took place March 18, 2012. Proceeds from the concert benefited The Actors Fund. It was held at Royce Hall, UCLA, Los Angeles, California. The cast of Grey's Anatomy, plus Ingrid Michaelson and several Grey's Anatomy crew members, put on a show which included performing several of the songs from Song Beneath the Song as well as talking about The Actors Fund and the importance of music on the show. After the concert, attendees who had purchased VIP tickets were allowed to stay for a cast and crew Q&A session.

Grey's Anatomy was renewed for a record-breaking season 15 in April 2018, making it the longest-running primetime drama in ABC's history.

The renewal was no surprise given that it remains one of the network's top-rated series, has led to a successful spin-off in Station 19, which was recently itself renewed for a second season, and Ellen Pompeo signed a two-year deal in January which takes her through to a potential season 16.
